Ashland sits on the western edge of the Wisconsin Northwoods, on Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior. We're based at 200 East Ridge Street in Ironwood, just across the border — short run up US-2 puts us inside the Ashland city limits without the long haul from Marquette or Eau Claire.
The Ashland climate is its own kind of tough on asphalt. Lake-effect snow off Superior pushes annual snowfall toward the triple digits, and spring thaw cycles through frozen ground that's still cold a foot down. We spec our mixes with these conditions in mind: proper base depth, the right asphalt thickness, and drainage grades that move the spring melt off the surface. A driveway paved to southern Wisconsin standards won't hold up to five Northwoods winters.
Whether your project is a residential driveway near Prentice Park, a commercial lot along Main Street, or a private road out toward the bay — we do the assessment, quote it honestly, and show up when we said we would. No subcontractors, no surprises.
